Yes. You have the legal right to dispute inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable information on your credit reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Credit bureaus are required to investigate disputes, usually within 30 days, and remove anything they can't verify. What isn't legal — by us or anyone else — is removing information that is accurate and within the reporting period.
